
KEDAH VALUABLE TOOLS
Kedah is a beautiful town, enriched with natural resources, yet not many have known about these treasures. The most commonly known for Kedah is the "Rice Bowl of Malaysia'. Currently, there are few types of equipments that are known as originated from Kedah, and these equipments are Paddy equipments, Nobat Kedah and Freshwater equipments. Let's explore further.

NOBAT

The original Balai Nobat was built during the reign of Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Mukarram Shah, who reigned from 1854 to 1879. It had 5 floors and was constructed of stone and metal.
PADDY

Paddy cultivation is the oldest agriculture industry in this country. Kedah is the main producer of rice and produces up to one third of the rice in the country, hence it is known as Kedah Rice Bowl of Malaysia.
FRESHWATER

There are about 37 types of freshwater fishes and some of the examples are the "Catfish", "Kalui", "Toman", "Kelah", and others. Most of these freshwater fishes can be seen in the streams of Gunug Jerai Forest Reserve.
